Last week I shot the wedding of Courtney & Jake at the Oquirrh Mountain LDS Temple, followed by a reception at Noah’s in South Jordan. I was filling in for my friend Alex of Pixels by Alex Photography. I’d been nervous for a couple of weeks before the wedding because my wife & I were expecting the birth of our baby daughter any time. Fortunately Mother Nature cooperated and our baby girl was born the day before the wedding, so I was able to rush straight from the hospital over to the temple. I haven’t missed a wedding yet so I was happy to leave that streak intact.

I skipped down to Los Angeles for a day to capture the wedding of Mette & Brent in the Los Angeles, California LDS Temple. The wedding day was perfect, followed by an evening reception in Mette’s hometown of Camarillo. Here are some shots I liked:

The beautiful people you see below are Samuel & Carolina, who celebrated a perfect wedding day last week at the Salt Lake Temple, followed by a ring ceremony, reception & dinner at the Bonneville Room at the Joseph Smith Building. I’ll be out of town next week on vacation, then to a wedding in Los Angeles, so here is a bucket load of pics to hold you over until I get back:

I recently photographed the wedding day of Elaine & Seiki at the Draper Utah LDS Temple, followed by reception & luncheon at the Garden Room at Thanksgiving Point. Elaine & Seiki both live in Hawaii and came all the way out here with their Hawaiian & Pacific Island friends & family for their wedding. I think they were happy with the pictures based on the email Elaine sent me: “There’s more than just a few pictures we like, we love them all! Thank you so much for being our wedding photographer and especially for capturing such great shots of our family and friends, and of all the wedding details. Looking through the photos was like reliving our happy wedding day all over again – we will enjoy these pictures for years to come! Thanks again!”

I’m smack in the middle of my busy season shooting and editing photos which doesn’t leave much time for the blog–sorry for the lack of updates!
I know many couples who might have let an all-day downpour ruin their wedding day, but not Adam & Emily. Even though it rained all day long they cheerfully took it as a sign of good luck. Which is good news for me, because it’s hard to make grumpy people look happy for pictures.
Fortunately we had umbrellas at the temple and the Park City reception was indoors so everything turned out great in the end.
