John & Amy were married last week at the Manti Utah LDS Temple, which happens to be the same place my parents were married not too many years ago. The Manti temple is a stunning, beautiful place, the architecture almost out of a fairytale. Easily in my top 2 or 3 favorite temples. The wedding was followed by the reception at Hidden Falls at Thanksgiving Point. I’ve shot at Thanksgiving Point probably a half-dozen times this summer, not that I’m complaining, what a beautiful place. Good luck to John & Amy with their new life in Kansas at dental school. On to the pics:

I recently photographed the wedding day of Elaine & Seiki at the Draper Utah LDS Temple, followed by reception & luncheon at the Garden Room at Thanksgiving Point. Elaine & Seiki both live in Hawaii and came all the way out here with their Hawaiian & Pacific Island friends & family for their wedding. I think they were happy with the pictures based on the email Elaine sent me: “There’s more than just a few pictures we like, we love them all! Thank you so much for being our wedding photographer and especially for capturing such great shots of our family and friends, and of all the wedding details. Looking through the photos was like reliving our happy wedding day all over again – we will enjoy these pictures for years to come! Thanks again!”

I’m smack in the middle of my busy season shooting and editing photos which doesn’t leave much time for the blog–sorry for the lack of updates!
I know many couples who might have let an all-day downpour ruin their wedding day, but not Adam & Emily. Even though it rained all day long they cheerfully took it as a sign of good luck. Which is good news for me, because it’s hard to make grumpy people look happy for pictures.
Fortunately we had umbrellas at the temple and the Park City reception was indoors so everything turned out great in the end.

I’ve already done engagement & family photos for Autumn & Trent along with Autumn’s Bridal photos, so when their wedding day rolled around last week they were probably sick of me.
They were married on a beautiful Saturday morning at The Bungalow in Pleasant Grove. Here’s a preview of a few that I liked:

Joy & Johnny are both pediatricians working in Chicago, and were married a couple of years ago. They picked the most beautiful day of the year to become sealed at the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple. After they saw their pictures they emailed me: “The photos are awesome. We had a blast taking pictures with you! Now that we’ve had 2 weddings, we can definitely say that you are the superior photographer, compared with wedding #1!
Thanks so much, we love them!” I’m happy when my customers are happy.
